Andrew Potter

Andrew took up the position of Clerk to the Parish Council in October 2019. Since moving to Lower Froyle in 2009, he has been involved in a variety of village activities including Parish Plan and Village Design Statement development and implementation, Speedwatch, and actively supports village social events including the fete, Open Gardens and Village Hall based activities. Andrew enjoys bellringing at St Mary’s and playing golf with other residents. Both he and his wife Karen are extremely grateful for the warm welcome and lasting friendships they have made since moving here.

The Parish Clerk role is key to ensuring that the Parish Council is run efficiently and thereby allowing it to actively reach out and support both the wider community and individual residents. The timing of when the Clerk position became available coincided with Andrew looking for a new challenge to use his time and the skills he had developed over a long career in corporate and consulting roles. To do this for the benefit of the village was a perfect match for him.
