Casual Vacancy for Councillor

  1. There are two vacancies on Froyle Parish Council caused by resignation.
  2. A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if, within 14 days (not counting a Saturday or Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, or a Bank Holiday) from the date below, ten electors for the ward/parish give notice in writing claiming such an election to the Returning Officer.
  3. The Address of the Returning Officer is: EHDC, Monterey House, Bedford Road, Petersfield, Hampshire, GU32 3LJ 
  4. If no such notice is given the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.

Resale of property at Barnfield Close

Froyle Parish Council has been advised by the Rural Housing Trust that there is an opportunity for a local person to buy a shared ownership home at Barnfield Close. The sale is being advertised on its website https://ruralhousing.org.uk/property-list/

These houses were developed in partnership with the Parish Council to help meet the needs of local people who are unable to afford to buy a property in the village at open market prices.
If you hear or know of anyone who might be interested, please ask them to get in touch with the estate agent, whose details are on the link to the property. In the interests of the community, it is hoped that another local person or family will be able to take the opportunity to buy a home in the village.

Parish Council Vacancies

The Parish Council was pleased to welcome Benedict Stanberry as a Parish Councillor at its meeting on 12th October but Alex Roberts has now resigned after over 10 years service to the Froyle community.
We therefore again have three vacancies for Parish Councillors currently. We are keen to ensure that the Parish Council represents the whole Froyle community and would especially like to include parents of younger children and residents from across the village geographically. If you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor or working with the Parish Council on projects such as the Recreation ground upgrade, Footpaths, Planning, Road Safety or Neighbourhood Watch we would love to hear from you. If you are concerned about whether you have enough time to be part of the PC, please talk to us about how we might make it work. There is also a vacancy for a part time role as Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. Our ideal candidate is organised, has experience in local council matters and has IT and finance skills.
