2. Froyle Wildlife Pond Walk (approx 50 Minutes)
Can be a little muddy after significant rain. Suitable for dogs and all abilities. Shorts are okay. 30% of walking on the single track roads but it should be mostly quiet.

Walk from the Village Hall Car Park across the rec to the south east corner, follow straight ahead along the short footpath to Park Lane (tarmac road). Cross over Park Lane and follow the path to the right along a field boundary between the field and the White House, snake through a gate and past the old stables, until you meet a crossroads of paths, turn left through an opening in the hedge into an open field. Follow that path down to a small footbridge and walk into another field and keep going straight ahead.
When you reach the Southern field boundary of that second field, turn right and follow that field boundary to another small footbridge and into another field, this is part of the ancient pilgrimage route known as St Swithuns’ Way. There are usually sheep in the field to the left. Follow along that field boundary until you reach a small pedestrian gate.
Exit that gate, straight ahead over the lane and cross over a stile into Froyle Wildlife Pond. Take a moment to admire how beautiful it is to have this pond. There are a few logs which you can rest on and watch the wildlife and see how many things you can see.
From here, backtrack to the lane and turn left into Gid Lane, up a slight incline back to the junction with Ryebridge Lane. Turn right and follow the road all the way up the hill. At a gateway on the right hand side opposite Coombefield Cottages there is a path that runs through woodland parallel to the road, to reduce road walking.
Alternatively continue on the road past the war memorial and back into the village back to the Village Hall Car Park.
